# Hover vs Magio Lights

The clearest difference is rating: Magio Lights at 5.0 against Hover's 4.4. Magio Lights also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Hover's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 1) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Magio Lights holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hover has 3.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hover ships an update every 8 days, Magio Lights every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
