# DIR vs Safe+Sound Iowa

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Safe+Sound Iowa at 100% against DIR's 50%. Safe+Sound Iowa also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). DIR's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.7) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DIR holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 3 respectively.
