# APCam vs CareCam Pro

The clearest difference is rating: APCam at 2.7 against CareCam Pro's 1.9. APCam also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). CareCam Pro's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (115 vs 11). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CareCam Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. APCam asks for nothing beyond the download.

APCam holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CareCam Pro has 115 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of APCam's written reviews are positive against 25% of CareCam Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

APCam ships an update every 2 months, CareCam Pro fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
