# Mini copter vs Flying Gorilla

The clearest difference is ads: Mini copter at none against Flying Gorilla's shown. Mini copter also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). Flying Gorilla's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (58K vs 7). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mini copter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flying Gorilla sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flying Gorilla holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flying Gorilla has 58K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mini copter ships an update weekly, Flying Gorilla fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
