# DJI GO vs RC

The clearest difference is rating: RC at 5.0 against DJI GO's 2.3. RC also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 10.0). DJI GO's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI GO has 3.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DJI GO ships an update every 2 months, RC every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
