# Pro Microphone vs AloneQuartet

The clearest difference is rating: Pro Microphone at 3.7 against AloneQuartet's 3.1. Pro Microphone also leads on ratings volume (8.4K vs 7) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). AloneQuartet's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 13%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Microphone sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and AloneQuartet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pro Microphone holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Microphone has 8.4K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Pro Microphone's written reviews are positive against 33% of AloneQuartet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pro Microphone ships an update every 2 weeks, AloneQuartet monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
