# Mycelium Wallet vs CW 2016

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CW 2016 at 71% against Mycelium Wallet's 16%. CW 2016 also leads on iOS requirement (8.1 vs 15). Mycelium Wallet's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (30 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mycelium Wallet holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mycelium Wallet has 30 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of Mycelium Wallet's written reviews are positive against 71% of CW 2016's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mycelium Wallet ships an update monthly, CW 2016 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
