# Amazon Alexa vs AiDot

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Amazon Alexa at 5.9M against AiDot's 8.1K. Amazon Alexa also leads on chart position (#14 vs #100). AiDot's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 20%) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amazon Alexa sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and AiDot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AiDot holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amazon Alexa has 5.9M ratings behind it against 8.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Amazon Alexa's written reviews are positive against 44% of AiDot's.

Amazon Alexa ships an update weekly, AiDot fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
