# Singscope vs Ella

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ella at none against Singscope's 3. Ella also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Singscope's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Singscope sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Ella asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ella holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ella has 1.2K ratings behind it against 72, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Singscope's written reviews are positive against 83% of Ella's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
