# ProKnockOut vs PaintUp

The clearest difference is ads: PaintUp at none against ProKnockOut's shown. PaintUp also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 73%). ProKnockOut's advantage is ratings volume (74K vs 1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProKnockOut sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and PaintUp sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PaintUp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProKnockOut has 74K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of ProKnockOut's written reviews are positive against 100% of PaintUp's.

ProKnockOut ships an update monthly, PaintUp every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
