# Web Browser SMS vs Group Text | Mass Message

The clearest difference is rating: Group Text | Mass Message at 4.3 against Web Browser SMS's 3.3. Group Text | Mass Message also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (5.8K vs 13). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Web Browser SMS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 2 months and Group Text | Mass Message sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Group Text | Mass Message holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Group Text | Mass Message has 5.8K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Web Browser SMS's written reviews are positive against 43% of Group Text | Mass Message's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
