# Quick Notes with widget vs JotNotes

The clearest difference is rating: JotNotes at 4.7 against Quick Notes with widget's 4.1. JotNotes also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 months). Quick Notes with widget's advantage is ratings volume (95 vs 3) and review sentiment (78% vs 67%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quick Notes with widget sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and JotNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

JotNotes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quick Notes with widget has 95 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Quick Notes with widget's written reviews are positive against 67% of JotNotes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Quick Notes with widget ships an update every 5 months, JotNotes every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
