# ecoATM vs Google Fi Wireless

The clearest difference is monetization model: Google Fi Wireless at free against ecoATM's free with in-app purchases. Google Fi Wireless also leads on ratings volume (20K vs 4K). ecoATM's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.4). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for ecoATM against 4.4 for Google Fi Wireless. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Fi Wireless has 20K ratings behind it against 4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 16% of ecoATM's written reviews are positive against 9% of Google Fi Wireless's.

ecoATM ships an update every 2 months, Google Fi Wireless every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
