# 48 Pieces vs Jigsaw Puzzles Now

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 48 Pieces at none against Jigsaw Puzzles Now's 6. 48 Pieces also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (67% vs 47%). Jigsaw Puzzles Now's advantage is ratings volume (2.5K vs 56) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jigsaw Puzzles Now sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. 48 Pieces asks for nothing beyond the download.

Jigsaw Puzzles Now holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jigsaw Puzzles Now has 2.5K ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of 48 Pieces's written reviews are positive against 47% of Jigsaw Puzzles Now's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

48 Pieces ships an update every 4 months, Jigsaw Puzzles Now every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
