# Shortcut for Contacts vs Fast Speed Dial

The clearest difference is rating: Shortcut for Contacts at 4.5 against Fast Speed Dial's 3.4. Shortcut for Contacts also leads on ratings volume (302 vs 44). Fast Speed Dial's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (53% vs 39%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shortcut for Contacts sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Fast Speed Dial sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shortcut for Contacts holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shortcut for Contacts has 302 ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Shortcut for Contacts's written reviews are positive against 53% of Fast Speed Dial's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shortcut for Contacts ships an update every 5 weeks, Fast Speed Dial every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
