# mimic + lite vs Flying Cut

The clearest difference is review sentiment: mimic + lite at 71% against Flying Cut's 23%. mimic + lite also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Flying Cut's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (29K vs 157). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flying Cut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. mimic + lite asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flying Cut holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flying Cut has 29K ratings behind it against 157, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of mimic + lite's written reviews are positive against 23% of Flying Cut's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

mimic + lite ships an update every 7 months, Flying Cut monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
