# Right Word! vs Mad Math

The clearest difference is rating: Right Word! at 4.1 against Mad Math's 3.5. Right Word! also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Mad Math's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (91% vs 70%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Right Word! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mad Math sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Right Word! holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 41 and 14 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Right Word!'s written reviews are positive against 91% of Mad Math's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
