# edX online learning vs Hue Game

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hue Game at free against edX online learning's free with in-app purchases. Hue Game also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 82%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). edX online learning's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 5) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. edX online learning sells 43 one-off in-app purchases and Hue Game sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hue Game holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: edX online learning has 11K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of edX online learning's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hue Game's.

edX online learning ships an update every 5 weeks, Hue Game every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
