# edX online learning vs CBT Trainer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: edX online learning at 82% against CBT Trainer's 0%. edX online learning also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 4). CBT Trainer's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. edX online learning sells 43 one-off in-app purchases and CBT Trainer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CBT Trainer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: edX online learning has 11K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
