# edX online learning vs RecallKit

The clearest difference is ads: edX online learning at none against RecallKit's shown. edX online learning also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). RecallKit's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. edX online learning sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and RecallKit sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RecallKit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: edX online learning has 11K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

edX online learning ships an update every 5 weeks, RecallKit every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
