# OpusTel vs TalkTT

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OpusTel at none against TalkTT's 7. OpusTel also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). TalkTT's advantage is ratings volume (573 vs 7) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 14 months). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TalkTT sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. OpusTel asks for nothing beyond the download.

OpusTel holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TalkTT has 573 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of OpusTel's written reviews are positive against 90% of TalkTT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OpusTel ships an update every 14 months, TalkTT every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
