# Activ8 POS vs Tippy Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Tippy Pro at 5.0 against Activ8 POS's 4.7. Tippy Pro also leads on iOS requirement (11.1 vs 14.0). Activ8 POS's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tippy Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Activ8 POS has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
