# Scout Legend vs SoundEcho

The clearest difference is ads: SoundEcho at none against Scout Legend's shown. SoundEcho also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months). Scout Legend's advantage is ratings volume (133 vs 3) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scout Legend sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and SoundEcho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Scout Legend against 4.3 for SoundEcho. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scout Legend has 133 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Scout Legend's written reviews are positive against 100% of SoundEcho's.

Scout Legend ships an update every 5 months, SoundEcho every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
