# Light Meter vs Lightme

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lightme at 91% against Light Meter's 29%. Lightme also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 71 months). Light Meter's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Light Meter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Lightme sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
