# Polarsteps vs Steppes Travel

The clearest difference is rating: Polarsteps at 4.9 against Steppes Travel's 3.0. Polarsteps also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (10K vs 1). Steppes Travel's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polarsteps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Steppes Travel asks for nothing beyond the download.

Polarsteps holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Polarsteps has 10K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Polarsteps's written reviews are positive against 100% of Steppes Travel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Polarsteps ships an update every 4 days, Steppes Travel every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
