# Polarsteps vs AutoTrips

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Polarsteps at 10K against AutoTrips's 3. Polarsteps also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and chart position (#63 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polarsteps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and AutoTrips sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Polarsteps against 5.0 for AutoTrips. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Polarsteps has 10K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 90% and 89% positive.

Polarsteps ships an update every 4 days, AutoTrips fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
