# Polarsteps vs Camino Amigo

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Polarsteps at 10K against Camino Amigo's 3. Polarsteps also leads on chart position (#63 vs unranked). Camino Amigo's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 90%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polarsteps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Camino Amigo sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Polarsteps against 5.0 for Camino Amigo. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Polarsteps has 10K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of Polarsteps's written reviews are positive against 100% of Camino Amigo's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
