# Decision Widget vs Recents

The clearest difference is update cadence: Decision Widget at every 8 months against Recents's every 33 months. Decision Widget also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 58%). Recents's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (20 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Decision Widget costs $0.99 and Recents $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Recents holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Recents has 20 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Decision Widget's written reviews are positive against 58% of Recents's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Decision Widget ships an update every 8 months, Recents every 33 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
