# Decision Widget vs X Progress

The clearest difference is price: X Progress at Free against Decision Widget's $0.99. X Progress also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). Decision Widget's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

X Progress is free to download; Decision Widget costs $0.99 up front. X Progress sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Decision Widget asks for nothing beyond the download.

X Progress holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: X Progress has 87 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Decision Widget's written reviews are positive against 59% of X Progress's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Decision Widget ships an update every 8 months, X Progress every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
