# Amazon Fire TV vs URLTV.TV

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Amazon Fire TV at 1.4M against URLTV.TV's 14K. Amazon Fire TV also leads on chart position (#42 vs unranked). URLTV.TV's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

URLTV.TV holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amazon Fire TV has 1.4M ratings behind it against 14K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Amazon Fire TV's written reviews are positive against 37% of URLTV.TV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Amazon Fire TV ships an update every 3 weeks, URLTV.TV weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
