# Amazon Fire TV vs Quack

The clearest difference is rating: Quack at 5.0 against Amazon Fire TV's 4.5. Quack also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Amazon Fire TV's advantage is ratings volume (1.4M vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Quack holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amazon Fire TV has 1.4M ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Amazon Fire TV ships an update every 3 weeks, Quack every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
