# Santa's Secret vs START

The clearest difference is rating: START at 3.8 against Santa's Secret's 1.0. START also leads on ratings volume (204 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). Santa's Secret's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (55% vs 35%). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. START sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per month. Santa's Secret asks for nothing beyond the download.

START holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: START has 204 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Santa's Secret's written reviews are positive against 35% of START's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Santa's Secret ships an update every 3 months, START fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
