# AK Interactive vs Black Library Audio

The clearest difference is rating: Black Library Audio at 2.6 against AK Interactive's 1.1. Black Library Audio also leads on ratings volume (83 vs 10). AK Interactive's advantage is review sentiment (43% vs 10%) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AK Interactive sells 27 one-off in-app purchases and Black Library Audio sells 24 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Black Library Audio holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 1.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Black Library Audio has 83 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of AK Interactive's written reviews are positive against 10% of Black Library Audio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AK Interactive ships an update every 3 months, Black Library Audio every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
