# AK Interactive vs The

The clearest difference is review sentiment: The at 100% against AK Interactive's 43%. The also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.1) and ratings volume (115 vs 11). AK Interactive's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AK Interactive sells 27 one-off in-app purchases and The sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The has 115 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of AK Interactive's written reviews are positive against 100% of The's.

AK Interactive ships an update every 3 months, The every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
