# MobileMeter vs MTD Connect

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MobileMeter at 33% against MTD Connect's 0%. MobileMeter also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (729 vs 98). MTD Connect's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 30 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MTD Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MobileMeter has 729 ratings behind it against 98, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of MobileMeter's written reviews are positive against 0% of MTD Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MobileMeter ships an update every 30 months, MTD Connect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
