# Step Master vs Fitmint

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Step Master at 100% against Fitmint's 53%. Step Master also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.2). Fitmint's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step Master sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Fitmint sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fitmint holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fitmint has 75 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Step Master's written reviews are positive against 53% of Fitmint's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Step Master ships an update every 8 months, Fitmint every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
