# Step Master vs StepBucks

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Step Master at 100% against StepBucks's 22%. Step Master also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.0.1). StepBucks's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 1.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step Master sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. StepBucks asks for nothing beyond the download.

StepBucks holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StepBucks has 1.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Step Master's written reviews are positive against 22% of StepBucks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Step Master ships an update every 8 months, StepBucks every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
