# DriveXperts vs CodeSTEPS

The clearest difference is update cadence: CodeSTEPS at every 2 weeks against DriveXperts's every 20 months. DriveXperts's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DriveXperts ships an update every 20 months, CodeSTEPS every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
