# Notoriety vs Note!

The clearest difference is rating: Note! at 4.7 against Notoriety's 3.6. Note! also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 8). Notoriety's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (80% vs 61%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notoriety sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Note! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Note! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Note! has 1K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Notoriety's written reviews are positive against 61% of Note!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notoriety ships an update every 6 months, Note! every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on August 16, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
