# Notoriety vs WeNotes+

The clearest difference is rating: WeNotes+ at 4.8 against Notoriety's 3.6. WeNotes+ also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 8) and review sentiment (95% vs 80%). Notoriety's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notoriety sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and WeNotes+ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WeNotes+ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeNotes+ has 2.2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of Notoriety's written reviews are positive against 95% of WeNotes+'s.

Notoriety ships an update every 6 months, WeNotes+ every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
