# Notoriety vs Notezilla

The clearest difference is rating: Notezilla at 4.4 against Notoriety's 3.6. Notezilla also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months). Notoriety's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.2). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notoriety sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Notezilla asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notezilla holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notezilla has 73 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Notoriety's written reviews are positive against 77% of Notezilla's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notoriety ships an update every 6 months, Notezilla monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
