# Tunr vs Ferromagnetic

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ferromagnetic at weekly against Tunr's every 3 weeks. Tunr's advantage is ratings volume (198 vs 26) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tunr sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Ferromagnetic sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Tunr against 4.1 for Ferromagnetic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tunr has 198 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Tunr's written reviews are positive against 80% of Ferromagnetic's.

Tunr ships an update every 3 weeks, Ferromagnetic weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
