# Technics Music App vs Smarters Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Smarters Pro at 4.5 against Technics Music App's 2.2. Smarters Pro also leads on ratings volume (9K vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Technics Music App's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smarters Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Technics Music App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smarters Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smarters Pro has 9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Technics Music App's written reviews are positive against 14% of Smarters Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Technics Music App ships an update every 2 months, Smarters Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
