# NINA vs BA

The clearest difference is rating: BA at 3.5 against NINA's 2.3. BA also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). NINA's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 36%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BA holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of NINA's written reviews are positive against 36% of BA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NINA ships an update every 3 months, BA monthly. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
