Offline Maps is a practical map companion for travel, hiking, cycling, field work, and any day when you want your map tools ready before the signal disappears. Open the app and start working directly on the map. Choose from Apple maps, OSM vector maps, OSM legacy maps, cycling, hiking, nautical, aeronautical, and other supported sources. Save map areas for offline use where downloads are supported, then keep exploring with your tracks, waypoints, measurements, and coordinate tools in one clean workspace. Record GPS tracks, pause and resume when needed, and keep an eye on your progress with live distance and speed statistics. Saved tracks can be searched, renamed, shown on the map, styled with solid colors or gradients, imported from common GPS formats, and exported when you need to share your route. Mark important places with waypoints, customize icons, rename them, search your waypoint list, and use waypoint tracking to see distance labels and guide lines on the map. Long-press the map or use your current position to create a new waypoint in seconds. Measure what matters in the field: lines, polylines, radius, circles, rectangles, and polygons. Drag points to adjust shapes, save measurements as map items, and export selected data when the job is done. Offline Maps also includes coordinate tools for Decimal, DMS, UTM, MGRS, Plus Code, and GeoHash formats. Copy or share individual coordinate values, open Google Maps links, and quickly search by pasted coordinates or map links. Built for modern iPhone and iPad, Offline Maps keeps the map at the center and places tracks, waypoints, and measurements together in Map Items so your important data stays easy to find. Searching for NOAA nautical charts to use offline on the water? NOAA Nautical Maps puts NOAA's raster charts, electronic charts, and Coast Pilot volumes on your phone - no signal required once they're downloaded. NEW in 2.0: ENC charts (Early Access, free). Over 2,000 NOAA Electronic Navigational Charts. Download the ones you need and use them offline, with a tap on any point for details on buoys, lights, hazards, soundings and more. What you get: * RNC Charts - 1,000+ of NOAA's Raster Nautical Charts, high-resolution and geo-referenced, downloaded once and available fully offline, off-grid, anywhere on the water. Browse and search NOAA's full raster chart catalog by region before you download. * ENC Charts (NEW, Early Access) - Over 2,000 of NOAA's Electronic Navigational Charts, vector-based, downloaded to your phone and available offline. Tap any point for details. Download by state or by area, see which charts you are missing, and see which downloaded charts are out of date. Your position and heading appear right on the chart. Night, Dusk and Day chart colours, and Dark Mode. * Coast Pilot - NOAA Coast Pilot volumes, available to view and download for offline reading, with sailing directions, hazards, and port information the charts alone don't cover. * Assistance - Basic information around distress calls, your position ready to read out or share, and quick access to U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center resources and NOAA's online chart viewer for boaters. * T-Satellite Optimized - for T-Mobile T-Satellite customers, the app is optimized to be used while off-grid when your device is connected to a satellite. Performance is limited to what your service provides. Whether you're planning a coastal passage or need charts on hand with no connectivity, NOAA Nautical Maps keeps NOAA's own chart and publication data ready when you need it. -- NOAA Nautical Maps is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NOAA, the U.S. Coast Guard, or any government agency. It is for planning purposes only and is a supplementary navigation aid. It does not replace official charts or safe navigation: always carry an official, up-to-date means of navigation. Charts can be out of date, phone GPS and compass can be inaccurate, and depths are from past surveys. These ENC charts are not official ENCs. This app is not an emergency service: in an emergency use VHF channel 16 or call 911. About Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) Electronic Navigational Charts are vector data sets supporting all types of marine navigation. Originally built for large commercial vessels using Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS), ENCs are now standard on simpler chart plotters used by recreational boaters too — providing real-time positioning and collision/grounding avoidance. NOAA ENCs comply with the International Hydrographic Organization's ENC Product Specification and cover nearly 2,000 charts across U.S. coastal waters and the Great Lakes. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers produces the equivalent Inland ENC (IENC) product for many U.S. rivers. About NOAA Coast Pilot Coast Pilot volumes are NOAA's official supplement to nautical charts — narrative sailing directions covering channels, dangers, port facilities, and regulations that can't be shown on a chart alone. NOAA Nautical Maps lets you download volumes for the regions you need and keep them available offline.
