# Lion's Roar vs SUFI JOURNAL

Lion's Roar and SUFI JOURNAL both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of SUFI JOURNAL's written reviews are positive against 51% of Lion's Roar's. SUFI JOURNAL also leads on ads (none vs shown). Lion's Roar's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 38) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 26 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lion's Roar sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 6 months and SUFI JOURNAL sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Lion's Roar against 4.9 for SUFI JOURNAL. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lion's Roar has 1.6K ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of Lion's Roar's written reviews are positive against 100% of SUFI JOURNAL's.

Lion's Roar ships an update every 6 months, SUFI JOURNAL every 26 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
