# Blackboard vs Lectra

Blackboard and Lectra both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Lectra's written reviews are positive against 14% of Blackboard's. Lectra also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly). Blackboard's advantage is ratings volume (444K vs 12) and chart position (#109 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Blackboard against 4.7 for Lectra. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blackboard has 444K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 14% of Blackboard's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lectra's.

Blackboard ships an update monthly, Lectra every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
