# Blackboard vs Moosenotes AI

Blackboard and Moosenotes AI both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Moosenotes AI's written reviews are positive against 14% of Blackboard's. Blackboard's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (445K vs 7). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moosenotes AI sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Blackboard asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Blackboard against 4.7 for Moosenotes AI. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blackboard has 445K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 14% of Blackboard's written reviews are positive against 100% of Moosenotes AI's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
