# HopSkipDrive vs MANZAL

The clearest difference is ads: HopSkipDrive at none against MANZAL's shown. HopSkipDrive also leads on ratings volume (9.9K vs 2). MANZAL's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MANZAL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HopSkipDrive has 9.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
