# ZigZag vs Colorful Dots Shot Challenge

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ZigZag at 32K against Colorful Dots Shot Challenge's 11. ZigZag also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Colorful Dots Shot Challenge's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ZigZag sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Colorful Dots Shot Challenge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for ZigZag against 4.3 for Colorful Dots Shot Challenge. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ZigZag has 32K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ZigZag ships an update every 2 months, Colorful Dots Shot Challenge fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
